Purple Texas Rice Cross F2 Pepper A very heavy producer of smaller cone like peppers. The Purple Texas Rice Cross is an unknow cross of a Texas Rice pepper and an unknown purple pepper. As these small peppers mature, they transform from a dark purplish green to a dark red. The peppers are about the size of a pea. The Purple Texas Rice Cross pepper plant is sprawling and can get like four feet tall. This plant has lush purplish green foliage, complemented by purple stems and delicate white flowers. When ripe the peppers can get squishy, and they tend to separate from the stem very easily. These are incredibly good when fermented and used for hot sauce. They are also fantastic when dried. This pepper has a hot spiciness level of about 40,000 Scoville heat units. This pepper is a recent cross and your results may vary.
