The WHP 36 pepper is a cross of a Pink Tiger Pepper and a Peach Bhut Jolokia pepper. White Hot Peppers originally crossed the orange version of this pepper, but at about the F5\/6 of my seedstock, a red phenotype appeared. This is a huge producer of smooth, red-colored hot peppers. The 2-3 inch long pods are red colored with an almost rounded tip. This pepper ripens from a dark purplish green to a light green and finally to a deep dark red. When ripe this pepper shows no signs of purple on the fruit. This plant may need support. The foliage on this plant is a dark purplish green with white flowers. A very tasty pepper. This pepper has a hot spiciness level of about 300,000 Scoville units. This variety is a recent cross that may be unstable, and your results may vary.
