An incredibly unique and eye-catching pepper. This very tasty pepper is also called a Shar Pei pepper. The pods are red and extremely wrinkly, and some peppers even have tiny bumps on them. This pepper originates from China. This pepper ripens from a serene light green to dark reddish-brown, and finally into a luminous bright red. A visual spectacle on its own! The three-foot-tall plant produces a high yield of gorgeously wrinkly peppers and will need support. A very tasty and crunchy pepper with a red pepper taste with hints of fruitiness. This pepper has a hot spiciness level of about 7,500 Scoville units, on average it is hotter than a jalapeno. Versatile in use, these peppers are great for frying, pickling, or even eaten raw.
