Aji Amarillo pepper is an extremely productive and crunchy tasty pepper, that originates from South America. Aji Amarillo peppers are commonly used in Peruvian cuisine. The Aji Amarillo pepper plant can very easily make fifty or more fruits at a time. The pods usually have a thick finger pointed shape and are three to sixes inches long. This pepper ripens from a pale green to a light creamy yellow then to a vibrant yellow orange. This pepper is a slow ripening pepper and very thick walled, which will also need support. The foliage on this plant is green, and the bushy plants get about four foot tall. This pepper is particularly good for cooking, fresh eating and drying. A very tasty thick-walled pepper with lots of sweetness and hints of citrus and other tropical fruits. This pepper has a hot spiciness level of about 30,000 thousand Scoville units.
